Why Brazilian Zouk?
“Dancing Zouk makes me happy!”
“I love the music!”
“Zouk lets me express myself!”
Here’s what our students have to say about their experience at Zouk Dance Academy.
I liked how she was able to break down complex concepts to help her students get the correct fundamentals, rather than blazing through the syllabus. I enjoy her blunt and straightforward critique during her lessons, mixed with her own unique style of humour. See more…
Dancing and instructing both as a leader and follower, she has the advantage and expertise to effectively break down a move, taking care to explain the body mechanics involved on both sides.
Learning from and sharing knowledge with leading Zouk artistes and dancers from around the world, the Zouk syllabus she offers has been revised over and over again over the years, becoming more comprehensive and easier to absorb.
Getting to The Lumen Room
The Lumen Room is a beautiful studio, located on the third floor of a narrow 3-storey building, between Church of Saints Peter & Paul and Crossings Cafe. You will see a gym on the ground floor. Simply head up the stairs to the third floor, and walk towards the other end. There are chairs and a table just outside of the studio, where you can rest.
Closest per-entry car park is at Burlington Square. Carpark entrance is along Bencoolen St, just past Burlington Square. There’s also on-street parking along Prinsep St and Queen St.
Take the Downtown line (blue) and alight at Bencoolen MRT Station (DT21). This is the closest MRT station. If you don’t mind walking a bit, you can also alight at City Hall MRT Station (EW13/NS25) and walk towards the Singapore Art Museum.
